Rest in peace
“You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy”
— Nightbirde on America’s Got Talent
As election day 2020 approaches it is difficult to say how it will be remembered.
Politicians and pundits have been insisting for many election cycles that “this” election (fill in the year) is the most important ever! What is it they say about broken clocks?
Hopefully you have already voted or are planning to do so. Hoping against hope, it would seem, may no voter be disenfranchised on a technicality!
Acting (consciously) being generally reckoned better than reacting, kindly consider the following:
- Election Survival Kit from gratefulness.org
- Election Freaking You Out? (Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn from 2018 on KQED)
And less you think this is all a bit pie in the sky, consider some of the experiences of Kabat-Zinn from his university days related in a 2017 Guardian article.
Similarly, the voices of Mahatma Gandhi and Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., and in our own day, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others, cry out.
All in all, whether voting, or business, or life, be aware, be safe!
While pulling together a checklist of recommendations for online security and privacy, it occurred to me…why reinvent the wheel!
